Multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter GC OConnor joins the new wave of Australian artists putting their individual spin on neo-soul and jazz music, announcing the release of her debut single ‘Love On High’, released through Sydney’s Low Key Source.

A fusion of influences and sounds forms a rich and deep tapestry of music that GC OConnor has flourished within – a combination that has since been touted as “stoner-soul” music. Jazz progressions meet alt-R&B and soul textures, with GC OConnor’s hypnotic vocals bolstering some expertly produced beds of music.

With ‘Love On High’, GC OConnor retains control over the emotional direction of the song, but her vocals and ability to represent vulnerability and strength offers the listener a sense of escape when they tune in.

Produced by Sydney/Gadigal duo The Goods, ‘Love On High’ is the perfect primer for those coming to GC OConnor for the first time.
